Karl Anderson serves as the president of the Supporters of Agricultural Research Foundation. Anderson joined SoAR after 10 years as Director of Government Relations for the American Society of Agronomy, Crop Science Society of America, and Soil Science Society of America, where he oversaw the three organizations’ work on federal policy issues related to agriculture and food-systems, natural resources and the environment. He previously served as Director of Legislative Affairs for the National Association of Conservation Districts (NACD) and also held several positions at the US Department of Commerce and on Capitol Hill.

Anderson is a native of Idaho and has a B.S. degree in biology from Idaho State University.
