Chris Novak is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Croplife America. Previously, Novak was Chief Executive Officer of the National Corn Growers Association, a grower-led trade association with offices in St. Louis and Washington.
Novak joined the organization in October 2014, after six years as CEO of the National Pork Board, the pork industry’s national checkoff program. Before his work with NPB, he served as executive director of the Indiana Soybean Alliance, the Indiana Corn Marketing Council, and the Indiana Corn Growers Association.
Novak’s career started on Capitol Hill and includes work for several farm organizations and agribusinesses in such areas as farm policy, environmental services, trade, science communication, and biotechnology.
Novak, who grew up on a row crop and livestock farm in eastern Iowa, has earned a bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University, a law degree from the University of Iowa and a Master’s in business administration from Purdue University.
